Prunus persica is an angiosperm which belongs to the order rosales and family rosaceae. The plant bear lanceolate leaves.Peaches are drupes.The flowers are produced in early spring . Peaches with white flesh are very sweet .It has little acidity.The leaves are 3 cm broad.It shows pinnate venation. The fruit has a single large seed .The flowers are solitary or paired. The flowers are pink with five petals. Prunus persica grows 6- 7 m tall. The fruit has yellow flesh. It has a delicate aroma. The skin is either velvety or smooth . The flesh of peaches can be whitish also. The seed is almost 1.3–2 cm in length. The seed is oval shaped.It is reddish -brown in colour. Yellow-fleshed peaches have an acidic taste along with sweetness.
