Orange trees have dark green shiny leaves .The plant bears small white flowers with five petals. Orange has a tough and shiny skin.Oranges are a rich source of vitamin c.The trees can reach upto 10 metres high.There are ten segments in an orange. Sometimes there be more or less.There are seeds called pips in each segment of these oranges.The segments and the skin are separated by white stringy fibrous material called pith. The skin can be peeled off the pith. The segments can be seperated with the fingers to be eaten.The flowers smell very sweet .It is also called sweet orange.
